Yash Gupta, a dedicated student from Sanjanpur, Uttar Pradesh, secured 98.6% in CBSE Class 12 while also qualifying JEE Main with 98.46 percentile. He is preparing for JEE Advanced on 26 May. He credits PW for completing his syllabus on time, motivating him, and supporting him throughout. He completed Physics NCERT at the end after building strong concepts under Rajwan Sir. Physics felt the toughest, but regular tests improved his confidence. He advises students to prepare for boards from the beginning to avoid last-minute pressure that may affect the January JEE attempt.
Yash achieved remarkable scores:
Physics: 97
Chemistry: 99
Maths: 100
English: 99
Physical Education: 98
Yoga: 99
He was a student of Lakshya JEE 2024, where he found the lectures engaging, concept-driven, and beneficial.
He advises juniors to maintain regular board preparation throughout the year. Students who focus only on JEE often face difficulty managing board studies later, which can increase stress and affect overall performance.
At the start of Class 12, Yash focused mainly on JEE preparation. During summer vacation, he began studying for boards. Pre-boards and unit tests kept him aligned with school performance and boosted his confidence. Since CBSE now asks more conceptual questions, JEE-level clarity helped him handle board exams easily.
Yash found Physics the toughest paper, yet it remains his favourite subject due to the depth and logic involved.
He considers NCERT essential for board success. Without strong concepts, students may struggle to understand the NCERT language.
He completed Physics NCERT at the end because most concepts were already covered. Chemistry NCERT helped significantly, especially because many JEE questions come directly from it.
Yash did not follow a rigid timetable. He attended school 3 to 4 days a week to maintain writing practice and exam continuity. After school, he rested, watched PW lectures, and practiced questions or DPPs whenever time allowed.
Yash believes consistency is crucial. Missing lectures leads to backlogs, reduces motivation, and breaks study flow. Regular study keeps learning smooth and manageable.
Once the syllabus was completed in December, he solved 10 to 15 sample papers each for Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, and fewer for English and PE. He solved them in 2 hours to 2 hours 15 minutes to build speed and ensure time for revision during the actual board exam.
