The board introduced the revised CBSE post-result revaluation 2026 process after receiving concerns from students regarding evaluation transparency and the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system.
Under the new structure, the CBSE Class 12 revaluation 2026 process has been divided into two stages:
Obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer books
Applying for verification of issues observed and re-evaluation
Only those students who first apply for photocopies of answer books will be eligible to apply for CBSE Class 12 rechecking 2026 and re-evaluation.
| Activity | Dates | Fee |
| CBSE scanned copy application 2026 | May 19 to May 22, 2026 | Rs 100 per subject |
Students can submit applications till 11:59 PM on the last date through the official portal.
| Activity | Dates | Fee |
| Verification of issues observed | May 26 to May 29, 2026 | Rs 500 per answer book |
| Re-evaluation | May 26 to May 29, 2026 | Rs 100 per question |
The board has confirmed that online applications can also be submitted on holidays.
In a major relief for students, Central Board of Secondary Education has reduced the scanned answer book fee from Rs 700 to Rs 100 per subject.
The board has also announced that students whose marks increase after verification or re-evaluation will receive a complete refund of the re-evaluation fee.
