The Magic Brush of Dreams Class 8 English Summary

In The Magic Brush of Dreams, Gopi is a poor girl who loves drawing. One day, while sitting beneath a banyan tree, she meets a mysterious man who gives her a magical brush. He tells her to use the brush only to help poor people and never for the rich or greedy.

Gopi uses the magic brush to paint food, clothes, and useful items for needy villagers. As the paintings come to life, she becomes well known for her kindness. Hearing about the magical brush, a greedy Zamindar orders Gopi to paint treasures, jewels, and a grand fortress for him. Gopi refuses because she has promised to use the brush only to help the poor.

The angry Zamindar imprisons her, but Gopi cleverly paints a road and a strong horse to escape. When the Zamindar and his soldiers chase her, she paints a wide river that stops them. Defeated and frightened, the Zamindar runs away. Gopi returns to her village and continues using the magic brush to improve the lives of the people around her.
