The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) provides students with the facility to obtain a photocopy of their evaluated answer sheets after the declaration of board exam results.
The CBSE Photocopy of Answer Sheet 2026 process enables Class 10 and Class 12 students to review their evaluated scripts and check whether their answers have been marked accurately.
This initiative promotes transparency in evaluation and allows students to verify if any answers were left unchecked, marks were incorrectly totalled, or evaluation standards were not applied correctly. After examining the photocopy, students may proceed with verification of marks or revaluation, if required.
CBSE has modernised its post-result grievance redressal system in recent years to make it more student-centric. The same framework is expected to continue for CBSE Board Exams 2026.
Under the current system:
Students must first apply for a photocopy of the evaluated answer book
After reviewing the photocopy, students can independently apply for:
Verification of marks, or
Revaluation of specific questions, or both
Students are no longer forced to follow a rigid step-by-step sequence
This approach ensures that students only apply for revaluation when genuinely required, reducing unnecessary applications and delays.
The photocopy facility is open to all eligible candidates who appeared in the CBSE board exams.
Eligible students include:
CBSE Class 10 students who appeared for Board Exams 2026
CBSE Class 12 students who appeared for Board Exams 2026
Students dissatisfied with their marks
Students suspecting checking or totaling errors
Students planning to apply for verification or revaluation
There is no minimum marks requirement to apply for a photocopy. Any student with a valid roll number can submit an application within the stipulated timeline.
CBSE will officially announce the photocopy, verification, and revaluation schedule after declaring the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Results 2026.
For Class 10 students, the photocopy application window generally opens within 1–2 weeks of result declaration. The verification and revaluation windows follow shortly after the photocopies are made available online.
