NCERT Releases New Class 9 Maths & Social Science Textbooks for 2026-27: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has released two new Class 9 textbooks for the 2026-27 academic session. The new books are Ganita Manjari – Part 2 for Mathematics and Understanding Society: India & Beyond – Part 2 for Social Science.

These new books are important for students, parents, teachers, and schools as they bring updated learning methods and content based on the latest school education framework. Students can get the books from the offline NCERT centres, the online portal, and Amazing. Books are available from 21 September 2026. 

NCERT Class 9 New Textbooks 2026-27 Availability Dates

Ganita Manjari – Part 2 is already available from 21 September 2026. The Understanding Society: India & Beyond – Part 2 textbook is scheduled to become available from 30 September 2026.
