The National Institute of Open Schooling has postponed examinations in Bihar because of the ongoing assembly elections. The exams that were to be held on November 6, 10, and 11 have been delayed. This change applies only to exam centres in Bihar. Centres in other states and abroad will follow the original schedule.
NIOS stated that new dates for the postponed secondary and higher secondary exams will be announced soon. Students in Bihar are advised to follow official updates closely. Exams outside Bihar will continue as planned.
The postponement covers several subjects at both levels. On November 6, the higher secondary exams in Physics, History, Environmental Science, and Library and Information Science were affected, along with the Painting exam at the secondary level. On November 10, the higher secondary exams in Biology, Accountancy, Introduction to Law, and Military History were postponed, as were the secondary exams in Urdu, Sanskrit, Indian Sign Language, and Buddhist Philosophy. On November 11, higher secondary exams in Mathematics and Vedic Studies, and the secondary English exam, were delayed.
