AAI NER Apprentice Eligibility 2026

Candidates must fulfil all the AAI NER Apprentice Eligibility 2026 conditions to avoid rejection: 

• Domicile Rule: Only Indian citizens who belong to the North Eastern Region can apply. This includes residents of Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Arunachal Pradesh.  

• Passing Year: Only students who passed their degree or diploma exam in the year 2024 or after 2024 are allowed to apply.  

• Age Limit: The minimum age must be 18 years, and the maximum age must be 26 years as of July 28, 2026. 

• Age relaxation is provided to SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates as per government instructions.  Experience Rule: People who have already done an apprenticeship or have more than one year of work experience cannot apply.  

AAI NER Apprentice Selection Process 2026

AAI NER Apprentice Selection Process 2026 involves the application screening based on the marks of the candidates in the college or school examination. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview and medical fitness rounds after the shortlisting process. 

• Merit Shortlisting: The primary selection is done using the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in their college or school exams.

• Interview Call: Shortlisted individuals receive an email on their registered email address for an interview and document verification.

• Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must submit a fitness certificate from a government medical officer upon joining.

AAI NER Apprentice Salary 2026

AAI NER Apprentice Salary 2026 is the fixed amount called a stipend instead of a regular salary. The details are as follows:

• Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 15,000 per month.

• Technical Diploma Apprentices: Rs. 12,000 per month.

• Trade Apprentices (ITI): Rs. 9,600 per month.

No daily allowances are provided to the selected candidates on the apprenticeship program.
