Candidates applying for the DSSSB MTS 2026 examination must meet specific eligibility requirements. These criteria include nationality, educational qualifications, age limits, and provisions for age relaxation as of the eligibility date.
Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Eligibility Date: All eligibility conditions, including educational qualification and age, will be determined as of 15/01/2026.
Educational Qualification (Essential): Matriculation or equivalent pass from a Recognized Board/University.
Experience: NIL (Essential and Desirable).
Pay Scale: ₹ 18000 - 56900/- (Pay Level-1), Group: 'C' (General Central Service, Non Gazetted, Non Ministerial).
Age Limit: Between 18-27 years.
Permissible relaxation in the upper age limit for different categories is as under:
SC/ST (For Group C): 05 years
OBC (For Group C): 03 years
PwBD (For Group C): 10 years
PwBD + SC/ST (For Group C): 15 years
PwBD + OBC (For Group C): 13 years
Departmental candidate (regular Govt. servant with at least three years continuous service): Up to 40 years of age (45 years for SC/ST, 43 years for OBC) for Group 'C' post.
Ex-Servicemen (Group C (Non-Gazetted)): Period of Military service plus 3 years (Maximum up to 55 years).
Meritorious Sports Persons (Only for Group 'C' posts): Up to 05 years (10 years for SC/ST and 08 years for OBC candidates).
Disabled Defence services personnel (Group 'C'): 45 years (50 years for SC/ST, 48 years for OBC).
Widows/ divorced women/ women judicially separated and who are not re-married: Up to the age of 35 years (up to 40 yrs for SC/ST & 38 for OBC).
Contractual employee of same department: Relaxation in upper age as a one-time measure up to the actual time spent as contractual employee of the same department, subject to a maximum of 5 years, provided they have worked for at least 180 working days in that particular year.
Reservation benefits will be available to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/ESM & other special category candidates as per government instructions.
Only OBC (Delhi) candidates notified by Govt. of NCT of Delhi will receive reservation/age relaxation benefits. OBC (Outside) candidates will be treated as Un-reserved.
OBC candidates must possess an OBC certificate issued on or before 15/01/2026.
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate must be issued on/after 01/04/2025 but not later than 15/01/2026.
EWS Category applicants must possess an Income & Asset certificate valid for the financial Year 2025-2026, based on income for the financial year 2024-2025.
