Now comes the most important part — calculating your expected score.
SSC MTS CBT exam consists of Session 1 and Session 2, and the marking scheme is different for both sessions.
| Parameters | Session 1 | Session 2 |
| No. of Questions | 40 | 50 |
| Max. Marks | 120 | 150 |
| Negative Marking | NIL | 1 mark |
There is no negative marking in Session 1.
Add marks for all correct answers.
Do not deduct any marks for wrong answers.
Add marks for correct answers.
Deduct 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
Let’s assume:
Session 1: 30 correct answers
Session 2: 35 correct answers
Session 2: 5 wrong answers
Session 1 = No negative marking → Full marks for correct answers
Session 2 =
35 correct – 5 negative marks
Total = Session 1 Marks + Session 2 Net Marks
This gives you your approximate score before the official result.
If you find any incorrect answer in the provisional key, you can raise objections.
