SSC CGL 2025 Final Result: Harsh Gehlot’s Success Story, Strategy, and PW Support

The SSC CGL 2025 Final Result brought an inspiring success story of Harsh Gehlot, who secured the post of Executive Assistant, CBIC, in his first attempt. Harsh, who is originally from Kurukshetra, Haryana, and spent much of his childhood in Pune, Maharashtra, shared his preparation journey, subject-wise strategy, family support, views on social media, and the role of discipline in his success.

His journey also became a topic of discussion because of his age. However, instead of allowing external opinions to affect his achievement, Harsh chose to focus on the positive aspects of his success.

SSC CGL 2025 Final Result: Harsh Gehlot Secures Executive Assistant Post

Harsh Gehlot secured the Executive Assistant, CBIC post through SSC CGL 2025. More importantly, this was his first attempt at the examination.

When asked how he felt after the result and the discussion surrounding his age, Harsh said:

“Ma’am, I was happy. I focused on the positive part.”

His response became one of the key lessons from his journey. While the SSC CGL 2025 examination cycle had several challenges, Harsh focused on the outcome of his own hard work rather than external noise.

The discussion around his age also highlighted how success can sometimes become surrounded by unnecessary controversy. Harsh's approach was simple: focus on the positive and continue moving forward.

Why Harsh Gehlot Chose SSC CGL

Harsh's interest in government service developed gradually. During his school days, he was curious about how public-related work was managed and who was responsible for it.

He explained:

“When I was small, when I was in school, I used to think, particularly about government work and public-related work, who is getting this work done? At that time, you don't really have an idea. So I used to think, who is this individual? Why are they getting everything done for everyone?”

As he grew older, this curiosity developed into an interest in government institutions, administration, and public dealing.

“As I grew older, that interest developed, and I came to know that there is an institution called the government that works for the public.”

After researching different opportunities, Harsh developed a particular interest in administration and discovered SSC CGL as an examination offering opportunities in this area.

He said:

“I was especially interested in administration. I researched it. Basically, I started becoming interested in public dealing and administration. I came to know that SSC CGL is an exam where you get a very good opportunity to work in administration and do social work, so my particular interest in CGL increased.”

Harsh Gehlot's Subject-Wise SSC CGL Strategy

Harsh followed different approaches for different SSC CGL subjects instead of using the same strategy everywhere.

English Preparation

English was already a strong subject for Harsh. Therefore, rather than spending excessive time building basic concepts, he focused on regular practice.

He used multiple sources and referred to PW practice videos to strengthen his preparation.

Reasoning Preparation

Reasoning was Harsh's favourite subject. Interestingly, his foundation in reasoning was developed partly through puzzles during childhood.

He said:

“For reasoning, since childhood, my parents, especially my father, used to give me short-shot puzzles, fun puzzles. So my reasoning had already become strong.”

During SSC CGL preparation, whenever he encountered a topic that he did not understand, he watched a detailed video and then practised it.

Mathematics Preparation

Mathematics was Harsh's weaker subject, so he followed a more detailed process.

He first focused on conceptual clarity and referred to books, including NCERT.

“For mathematics, first I read some books for conceptual clarity. I also referred to NCERT for that.”

After developing conceptual clarity, he moved towards speed-building techniques.

“Once my conceptual clarity had developed, after that I kept my entire focus on YouTube Shorts for fast tricks. When my accuracy was built, then I focused on speed.”

This strategy followed a clear sequence: conceptual clarity → accuracy → speed.

One Step at a Time Was Harsh's Preparation Strategy

Harsh's preparation was not based on trying to master everything simultaneously. Instead, he focused on one stage before moving to the next.

The mentor summarised this approach:

“One step at a time would work for you.”

Harsh first built conceptual clarity, then practised questions, and only after establishing accuracy did he focus on speed and shortcuts.

This approach helped him avoid rushing into advanced techniques before developing a strong foundation.

How PW Supported Harsh Gehlot in SSC CGL Preparation

PW supported Harsh Gehlot's SSC CGL preparation primarily through its free YouTube-based practice content. Harsh clarified that he did not take any paid SSC CGL course and completed his overall preparation using freely available content on YouTube.

He said:

“Ma’am, I did not take any paid course for CGL. I did my entire preparation from the free content available on YouTube.”

For English, which was already his strong subject, Harsh used multiple sources for practice. He specifically referred to PW's practice videos and daily practice sessions.

He explained:

“I have used multiple sources for practice, among which I have referred to PW's practice videos.”

The availability of free practice content allowed Harsh to supplement his preparation without depending on a single resource. His strategy remained focused on identifying what he needed and using suitable resources for that particular requirement.

Biggest Myth About the SSC CGL First Attempt

Harsh identified a common misconception among aspirants: believing that the first attempt should only be used to understand the examination.

He explained:

“The biggest myth is that aspirants think that they will go for the first time and see what the exam is like. The first time is quite difficult. Once we get an idea in the first attempt, we will do it properly the second time.”

However, Harsh's own journey challenged this belief because he successfully cleared SSC CGL in his first attempt.

His experience shows that aspirants should not automatically treat their first attempt as a trial run. With the right preparation, conceptual clarity, practice, and discipline, success can come in the first opportunity itself.

Harsh Gehlot's Advice for SSC CGL 2026 Aspirants

For upcoming SSC CGL aspirants, Harsh emphasised long-term discipline over temporary motivation.

He said:

“I would tell the upcoming aspirants that you should rely more on long-term discipline than short-term motivation, and do not focus too much on external noise.”

He further advised:

“Focus on your work and keep moving. Do it with discipline. Make your own strategy. Keep a balanced approach. You can benefit a lot from that.”

His advice captures the central theme of his journey. Instead of following every trend or becoming affected by external opinions, aspirants should understand their own requirements, build a strategy, and follow it consistently.
