Preparing for a competitive exam is not always a straight path. Sometimes, the biggest challenge is knowing where to start and staying consistent. Sindhu’s SSC CGL journey shows how regular practice, the right guidance and a competitive mindset can help turn uncertainty into success.
A student from Andhra Pradesh, Sindhu started preparing for competitive exams in 2025. She initially considered banking exams but later realised that SSC was a better fit for her. Without a mentor to guide her on the exam pattern or preparation strategy, she started looking for reliable resources and found PW’s SSC Wala platform.
She consistently attended live classes and took part in mock tests to improve her speed and performance. Her hard work paid off when she cleared SSC CGL 2025 in her first attempt and secured the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) post in CSS with a raw score of 330. Her achievement reflects the impact of staying consistent and making the most of the right learning resources.
Sindhu began her competitive exam preparation at a time when she was unsure about her career. She saw people around her moving ahead in their careers and wanted to find a direction for herself.
She said:
“I was in a very messed up place. I don't know what to do with my future.”
She initially started preparing for banking exams but soon realised that they were not the right fit for her. She then switched to SSC.
The biggest challenge was that she did not have a mentor to tell her what to study or how to approach the examination. That was when she discovered PW’s SSC Wala platform.
Once Sindhu found PW, she started attending the live classes regularly. She followed classes by different teachers for different subjects, including current affairs, English, reasoning and mathematics.
She shared:
“I consistently watched all the live classes. I started with Krati ma'am in the morning for current affairs, and then you for English, Sandeep sir for reasoning, and Ravinder sir for maths.”
The live classes became an important part of her daily preparation. Instead of constantly searching for new resources, she followed the classes consistently and worked with the guidance available on the platform.
Her consistency was also noticed by her teacher during the testimonial. He recalled that Sindhu rarely missed a class and remained regular throughout her preparation.
Sindhu admitted that consistency had not always been easy for her. She often had big goals but struggled to follow them until the end.
The live mock tests helped change that.
Before Tier 1, PW conducted live mock sessions where students could compete with each other and the top performers were announced at the end. Sindhu found this competition motivating because she wanted to see her name among the top students.
She explained:
“I'm kind of a competitive girl. Like I want to see my name on there. So, that used to push me to be fast, read the question fast, and just give my answer.”
For her, these mocks were more than just tests. They gave her a reason to improve her speed and pushed her to perform better with every attempt.
While mathematics was one of the areas she struggled with, English became her strongest subject during the preparation.
Her performance in English played an important role in her Tier 2 score. Sindhu scored 127 out of 135 in Tier 2 English, which significantly boosted her overall performance.
She also mentioned that she scored only 17 marks in mathematics, making her strong performance in English even more important.
Instead of allowing one weak subject to affect her entire preparation, Sindhu focused on maximising her strengths while continuing to attempt the other sections with confidence.
Sindhu’s approach during Tier 2 was not based only on playing safe. She knew that her English score was strong and decided to take a calculated risk while attempting the other sections.
Her teacher described this as a smart and calculative approach. Sindhu also explained that she wanted to aim for a Level 7 post and was willing to take the necessary risk for it.
This shows how understanding your own strengths can help you make better decisions during an examination.
For Sindhu, PW was not only about the study material. She also appreciated the way teachers interacted with students.
When asked what attracted her to the SSC Wala platform, she specifically mentioned the way the teachers communicated with and encouraged students.
She said:
“Honestly, sir, it's your way of speaking. How you engage with students.”
She also appreciated that the teachers encouraged students rather than making them feel that they were expected to know everything already.
For Sindhu, this supportive environment made the preparation experience more comfortable and motivating.
Sindhu appeared for SSC CGL 2025 with a raw score of 330 and eventually secured the ASO CSS post in her first attempt.
Her selection was especially meaningful because she had started her preparation without knowing much about the SSC CGL pattern or having a personal mentor to guide her.
From attending live classes and improving her weak areas to competing in live mocks and building confidence, she gradually developed a preparation routine that worked for her.
Her journey also shows that preparation does not always have to begin with a perfect plan. What matters is finding the right direction and staying consistent once you start.
Sindhu’s journey is a reminder that it is possible to change your career direction even when you are unsure about your next step.
She started with doubts about her future, switched from banking to SSC and prepared for the examination in her first attempt. Her consistency with PW’s live classes and mock tests helped her stay focused throughout the preparation.
Her SSC CGL 2025 success story highlights the importance of:
Staying consistent with your preparation
Using mock tests to improve speed and accuracy
Identifying your strengths and weak areas
Following reliable study resources instead of constantly switching
Staying confident during the examination
Using competition as motivation rather than pressure
Sindhu’s journey from an uncertain start to securing ASO CSS in SSC CGL 2025 shows that hard work, consistency and the right guidance can make a real difference. Her experience with PW’s live classes and mock tests helped her build confidence and stay focused on her goal.
