This blog shares the inspiring journey of Sindhu, an SSC CGL 2025 topper who secured the prestigious ASO CSS post in her first attempt with a 330 raw score. Her story highlights key strategies, challenges overcome, and the pivotal role of structured preparation and dedicated mentorship in achieving success in highly competitive exams like SSC CGL.
Sindhu identified lack of consistency as a significant personal challenge during her preparation. To overcome this, she actively participated in the live mocks conducted before the Tier 1 exam. These mocks, which included top 50 student rankings, fostered a competitive environment. This environment pushed her to be fast and read the question fast, ultimately helping her maintain consistency in her studies.
The faculty confirmed Sindhu's remarkable consistency and regularity in attending classes on the YouTube platform, further underscoring her dedication.
Sindhu began her competitive exam preparation around 2025/2027. Her initial attempt was with banking exams, but she quickly realized this path was not suitable for her. She then switched her focus to SSC exams. Lacking prior mentorship or knowledge of the exam pattern, she eventually discovered SSC Wala for comprehensive guidance.
Sindhu consistently watched all live classes provided by SSC Wala. She mentioned specific teachers whose classes were particularly helpful: Krati ma'am for Current Affairs, the faculty for English, Sandeep sir for Reasoning, and Ravinder sir for Maths. She highlighted that these live classes were extremely beneficial to her preparation.
In the Tier 2 exam, her subject-wise performance was notable:
English: This was her top scoring part, significantly boosting her overall score with 127 out of 135 marks.
Reasoning: Her performance in Reasoning was good.
Maths: She struggled a lot in this section, scoring only 17 marks.
General Awareness (GA): She attempted this section without fear and fortunately achieved a good score.
The faculty noted Sindhu's calculative, smart gamble in the exam, leveraging her strong English score to aim for a Level seven post. Sindhu reaffirmed that live mock tests significantly aided her preparation, allowing her to refine her strategy and performance.
