SSC CHSL FRTA post-wise allocation 2026 gives details of vacancies and candidates provisionally allocated to different posts. The notice includes separate information for categories such as UR, SC, ST, EWS, OBC and horizontal categories.
There are 3,522 vacancies, while 3,515 candidates have been recommended. The vacancy break-up included 337 EWS, 490 SC, 252 ST, 768 OBC and 1,675 UR vacancies.
The post codes include LDC/JSA posts in several government departments. The notice also includes DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts under the Staff Selection Commission, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, the Department of Expenditure and the Ministry of Culture.
SSC CHSL FRTA Merit List 2026 is based on the applicable Tier-II marks and qualifying standards. Post allocation is also linked to the preferences submitted by candidates.
SSC has also provided rules for resolving ties. If two or more candidates have the same score in Tier-II, merit is decided in the following order:
Marks scored in Tier-II Section-I.
Marks scored in Tier-I.
Date of birth, with the older candidate placed higher.
A total of 3,515 candidates were provisionally recommended for Identification Verification in the first round.
SSC CHSL Sliding Mechanism 2026 has been introduced to help fill unutilised vacancies. SSC stated that the mechanism aims to provide fair and merit-based opportunities and reduce vacancies caused by candidates who do not join after selection.
Candidates must choose their venue, date and slot through the designated SSC login module from 20 August to 22 August 2026. The sliding process will then be conducted at the cities of the concerned Regional Offices from 1 September to 3 September 2026.
Physical attendance is compulsory. Candidates who fail to attend the sliding process will be treated as absent and will not be considered for the final result.
