For the exam day, the safest choice is a simple shirt or T-shirt with pants or jeans. Open footwear such as sandals or slippers is preferred over closed shoes, because shoes may be checked more strictly at the centre.

Candidates should choose clothes that are easy to check during frisking. Light and plain outfits are recommended, especially in summer, because they help avoid unnecessary delays at entry.

• Candidates should wear light-coloured sober clothes.

SSC GD 2026: Exam day rules

Candidates must carry the SSC GD admit card along with a valid photo ID proof. Without the admit card, entry to the exam hall will not be allowed.
