
Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC MTS 2026 examination on multiple dates between 4 and 19 February 2026. To ensure a smooth examination process, SSC has issued a list of important do’s and don’ts that candidates must strictly follow on the exam day. These guidelines cover reporting time, documents to carry, permitted and prohibited items, and conduct inside the exam hall. Failure to follow these instructions may result in cancellation of candidature or disqualification.
Candidates appearing for the SSC MTS 2026 exam are advised to carefully read and follow all exam-day instructions mentioned on the admit card. Adhering to these guidelines will help avoid last-minute issues and ensure a hassle-free examination experience.
Carry a Printed Admit Card
Bring a clear and legible printed copy of the SSC MTS 2026 admit card. Entry to the exam centre will not be permitted without the hall ticket.
Bring a Valid Original Photo ID
Carry an original government-issued photo identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving Licence for verification.
Carry Recent Passport-Size Photographs
Keep at least two recent coloured passport-size photographs, preferably the same as uploaded in the application form.
Report to the Exam Centre Early
Reach the exam centre well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card to complete security checks and biometric verification smoothly.
Follow All Instructions Carefully
Strictly follow the instructions given by the invigilator and exam authorities during the examination and maintain discipline inside the exam hall.
Do Not Carry Electronic Gadgets
Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, and other electronic items are strictly prohibited inside the exam centre.
Avoid Guesswork in Session 2
Be cautious while attempting questions in Session 2, as negative marking is applicable and incorrect answers can reduce your score.
Do Not Leave the Exam Hall Early
Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall before the completion of the exam without permission from the invigilator.
Do Not Use Unfair Means
Any form of malpractice, copying, or communication with other candidates can lead to immediate disqualification.
Do Not Forget Mandatory Documents
Forgetting essential documents such as the admit card or ID proof may result in denial of entry to the exam centre.
