Students who have secured marks within the top 20 percentile are now eligible to apply for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (PM-USP CSSS).

This scheme is open to both boys and girls, unlike other schemes that are gender-specific. Eligible students must have a family income below ₹4.5 lakh per annum and should be enrolled in +2, undergraduate, or technical education programs to avail the benefits.

The Prime Minister’s Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (PM-USP CSSS) is initiated to support academically bright students from economically weaker backgrounds. For the year 2025, students who have ranked in the top 20 percentile of the Bihar Board Class 12 results are eligible to apply. 

This scheme is merit-based and gender-neutral, aiming to help students continue their education at the college or university level. Here’s an overview of Bihar Board 12th Scholarship 2025:

Who Can Apply for the Bihar Board 12th Scholarship 2025?

The following eligibility criteria must be fulfilled:

• The applicant must be in the top 20 percentile of the BSEB Intermediate 2025 result.

• Students must have taken admission in +2, UG, or technical education.

• Family income should not exceed ₹4.5 lakh per annum.

• The applicant must not be availing of any other central scholarship benefit.

• Application must be submitted online via the NSP portal with all valid details.

What Does the Bihar Board 12th Scholarship Offer?

Under the PM-USP CSSS, selected students receive the following benefits:

• ₹10,000 per year for the first three years of graduation (₹1,000/month).

• ₹20,000 per year for postgraduate courses or professional programs of 4–5 years duration.

• The scholarship amount is directly credited to the student’s bank account via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

How to Apply on the National Scholarship Portal?

Follow these steps to complete your application on the NSP:

1. Visit the National Scholarship Portal.

2. Click on "New Registration" (if applying for the first time).

3. Select the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students.

4. Enter your Roll Code and Roll Number exactly as mentioned (e.g., 11066 / 25010013).

5. Complete the application by entering personal, academic, and bank details.

6. Upload necessary documents such as:

• Class 12 Marksheet

• Income Certificate

• Aadhaar-linked bank details

• Domicile certificate

7. Submit and save your application ID for future reference.
