To pass the Class 10th exams under JKBOSE, a student does not need to get full marks, but they must meet a minimum requirement. This requirement is called the "Passing Marks."
For the year 2026, the passing marks are set at 33% in each subject.
If a subject is for 100 marks, the student must get at least 33 marks.
The student must pass both the theory (written) exam and the practical exam separately.
If a student fails to get 33% in one or two subjects, they might have to appear for a "Compartment" or "Re-appear" exam later in the year to improve their score and pass the class.
