MHT CET Exam Pattern 2026

MHT CET Exam Pattern 2026 is the same for both groups, PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). The MHT CET is conducted online with a total duration of 3 hours split across two sections. The PC group or PCM section comprises 50 questions in Mathematics with a mark of 2 each, making a total of 100 marks, while it comprises 50 questions each in Physics and Chemistry with a mark of 1 each, making a total of 50 marks each subject, totalling 200 marks. 

PCB section includes a total of 100 questions in Biology with a mark of 1 each, making a total of 100 marks, Physics and Chemistry, with 50 questions each, making a total of 50 marks each subject, making a total of 200  marks. The exams under MHT CET have no negative marking. Questions will be based on 20 % Class 11 syllabus and 80 % MHT CET syllabus

MHT CET Marking Scheme 2026

The MHT CET 2026 exam features different marking schemes for Paper 1 and Paper 2. In Physics, Chemistry, and Biology papers, each correct answer earns one mark, while in the Mathematics paper, each correct response is awarded two marks. Importantly, the exam does not penalize candidates for incorrect answers as there is no negative marking.

MHT CET PCM Paper Pattern

The MHT CET 2026 exam for the PCM group consists of three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with a total of 150 multiple-choice questions—50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Each Mathematics question carries 2 marks, while questions from Physics and Chemistry carry 1 mark each. The exam duration is three hours, split evenly between two sections: Physics and Chemistry (90 minutes) and Mathematics (90 minutes). Additionally, the syllabus weightage is divided as approximately 20% from Class 11 and 80% from Class 12 topics

MHT CET Exam Pattern for PCB

The MHT CET 2026 examination pattern encompasses three core subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates answer a total of 150 multiple-choice questions—50 questions each from Physics and Chemistry, and 100 questions from Biology.

Each question in Physics and Chemistry carries 1 mark, while each Biology question carries 2 marks. The entire exam is of 200 marks, lasting for 3 hours, divided into two equal sections: Physics and Chemistry in the first 90 minutes, followed by Biology in the next 90 minutes. The syllabus is predominantly composed of 80% Class 12 topics and 20% from Class 11 content."

The exam is designed to assess understanding of concepts and will prepare candidates to study pharmacy or medicine.
