Candidates who pass the written exam, will be invited for an interview. The interview consists of 50 marks and the interview focuses on personality, confidence, general awareness, and how suitable the candidate is for the position. The interview marks are added to the written exam scores to create the final merit list.
After passing the interview, candidates must take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This test checks if they are physically fit according to the standards set by BPSSC. If a candidate doesn’t meet these physical requirements, they will be disqualified from the process.
Once candidates pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), they must go through a medical examination. This exam is designed to check their overall health and ensure they are physically capable of handling the challenging and demanding tasks required of a Forest Range Officer. The medical examination ensures that candidates are fit to work in tough outdoor conditions, manage physical tasks, and handle the stress of the job. Only those who pass this final step will be considered fully qualified for the role.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any one of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Biotechnology, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from a recognized university.
