The selection consists of the following phases:

1. Written Exam: Objective-type multiple-choice questions in English. Negative marking of 0.25 applies.

2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Qualifying nature. Candidates 6 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted based on written merit.

3. Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying nature; includes a long race and push-ups (males) or shot put (females).

4. Medical Examination: To assess physical and medical fitness of selected candidates.
