For Degree/Diploma Posts:

• Academic: 10th Pass with Science and Mathematics under the 10+2 system from a recognized school or board.
• Technical: Bachelor of Vocational / Degree in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology (with 1 year relevant experience) OR 03 years Diploma in the relevant field / Advanced Diploma (Vocational) from DGT (with 2 years relevant experience). Experience must be from a registered organization under the Factories Act, 1948 or teaching experience in a Government/recognized institution.
• Mandatory NCIC Requirement: Degree/Diploma holders must acquire the National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in the relevant trade at their own cost within 3 years from the date of appointment, failing which their services will be dispensed with.

For NTC/NAC Posts:

• Academic: 10th Pass with Science and Mathematics under the 10+2 system from a recognized school or board.
• Technical: National Trade Certificate (NTC) OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade, along with a National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in the relevant trade, and 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in an organization registered under the Factories Act, 1948 or teaching experience in a Government/recognized institution.

The age criteria as of 01-01-2026 for various categories are as follows:

• General Category: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 37 years.
• SC / BC Categories (Punjab Residents): Maximum age limit relaxed up to 42 years.
• State & Central Government Employees: Maximum age limit relaxed up to 45 years (NOC required during counseling).
• Widows, Divorcees, and Married Women: Relaxed up to 40 years as per government instructions.
• Ex-Servicemen (Punjab Domicile): Allowed deduction of military service length from actual age; if the resulting age does not exceed the prescribed upper age limit by more than 3 years, they are eligible.

• Matriculation Standard: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th) examination with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject, or any other equivalent examination in the Punjabi language specified by the Punjab Government, as per Rule 17 of the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994.
• Mandatory Condition: No candidate will be appointed to any post by direct recruitment without fulfilling this Punjabi language qualification.
