Candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements for KCET 2026 courses. These include nationality, educational qualifications, and minimum marks for some categories.
For B.Tech Courses:
Candidates must be Indian nationals.
Must have passed 2nd PUC/Class 12th/equivalent examination.
Required subjects are Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Electronics/Computer Science. English must be a language subject.
No minimum marks are specified for KCET 2026 for any category.
For B.Pharm Courses:
Candidates must have passed the 2nd PUC or Class 12th examination with PCM or PCB subjects.
General candidates need 45% aggregate marks.
Reserved categories (Category-I, OBC, and ST/SC) require 40% aggregate marks.
Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in Pharmacy need 45% (general) or 40% (SC/ST, Category-I, and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B)).
For B.Sc.(Hons) Agriculture Courses:
Candidates must have passed the 2nd PUC/Class 12th/equivalent exam.
Required subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and an optional subject like Biology.
The KCET 2026 Registration Process will be conducted through the online mode. Candidates need to follow the registration steps properly to fill out the form and make the fee payment accordingly.
Step 1: KCET 2026 Registration:
Visit the official website to register for KCET.
Provide personal details such as SSLC register number, passing year, guardian name, mother's name, email, contact number, and create a password.
Enter the candidate’s name, date of birth, email, mobile number, security question, and security code.
Submit these details.
An application number and User ID will be sent to the registered email and mobile for login.
Step 2: Fee Payment:
Pay the required application fee. This can be done online (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline.
Step 3: Filling the KCET Form:
Input personal details: Nationality, Mother tongue, Religion, Annual family income, Reservation category, Caste name, Certificate Number (if applicable), eligibility clause code, and selected exam centres.
Enter qualifying exam details: exam passed, University/Board, School name, whether appearing for Karnataka 2nd PUC Annual Exam 2026 (Science), PUC Student Number, Year of Passing, eligibility for reservation, total years of study in Karnataka (1st to 12th standard), rural area study, Kannada medium study.
Provide contact details: Address, District, State, Pin Code, Taluk, Phone Number, 10th standard study in Karnataka, 12th standard exam state/district, Native State/District, and J&K migrant status.
Include previous KCET details: if previously appeared, year, application number, and if a seat was obtained.
Click ‘Save and Next’ to proceed.
Step 4: Uploading Scanned Images:
Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and parents’ signature/left thumb impression. Ensure these adhere to the specified format and size.
Step 5: Final Submission:
Review all entered details carefully. Corrections can be made using the ‘Edit Application Form’ button.
Accept the declaration and submit the KCET 2026 application form.
Print the submitted form. This printout must be attested by a School Principal or PU institute/college authority, or a Gazetted Officer, for counselling.
