Visvesvaraya Technological University Admission process for its affiliated colleges is anticipated by engineering aspirants from all over India. As one of the largest affiliating universities of India, VTU overview includes admission for hundreds of engineering, architecture, and management colleges across Karnataka.
Admission to the premier undergraduate (UG) programs like B.E./B. Tech is majorly based on merit. It is determined by performance in state and national-level entrance examinations from VTU KCET and COMEDK UGET. Candidates who are seeking entry into various technical courses under VTU need to ensure they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria and participate in the entrance exam and counselling.
The VTU overview of admission is based on the entrance exam, where the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) plays an important role in allocating seats for the government quota through KCET. Admission is granted to constituent colleges of VTU and its hundreds of affiliated institutions.

COMEDK UGET: This is the entrance test for admission to Engineering seats under the Private Unaided Colleges’ Quota in Karnataka. It is also applicable to many VTU-affiliated institutions.
JEE Main: While KCET/COMEDK are preferred, a limited number of seats in some affiliated colleges may be filled through JEE Main scores.
The Visvesvaraya Technological University cutoff is not a single rank published by VTU itself, but rather the closing ranks determined during the centralized counselling conducted by KEA and COMEDK for each affiliated college and branch.
The cutoff ranks differ based on the college, the branch, the category, and the quota (KCET or COMEDK).
The VTU fee structure for B.E./B.Tech programs is dependent on the type of seat secured by the candidate. Here is the fee structure for Visvesvaraya Technological University:
