WBJEE Counselling Process 2024
The WBJEE Counselling 2024 sets a centralised computer-based system for choice-filling and seat allocation. For each round of seat allocation, candidates must go through document verification and submit tuition fees for provisional admission. The admission process will be only open for WBJEE qualifiers and JEE Main AIR holders. The WBJEE Counselling comprises six main steps for candidates to secure admission in their desired course and institution. Step by Step Process For WBJEE Counselling 2024
Step 1: WBJEE Registration The first step for the WBJEE Counselling process includes the step-by-step procedure for filling out the form. To complete the registration for WBJEE 2024 counselling, candidates should follow these steps:- Visit the official website of WBJEE Counselling 2024.
- Click on the registration link provided for WBJEE counselling.
- Choose the "New Candidate Registration" option.
- Candidates opting for registration through WBJEE 2024 must enter their application number, roll number, name, and date of birth.
- JEE Main 2024 candidates should also input their application number, roll number, name, and date of birth.
- If registering through WBJEE and JEE Main, enter details for both examinations.
- Finally, click the "Submit" button to complete the registration process.
- Log in to your accounts using the ID and Password generated previously.
- Fill in your preferences for colleges and courses.
- The option to edit and submit the final choice will expire on the due date at 5:00P.M, and the choices filled so far will be automatically locked.
- If a candidate fails to lock their choices within the pre-announced deadline, they will not receive any allotment in the current cycle. However, they will be considered in the next cycle and will have the opportunity to submit choices in subsequent cycles.
- Take a printout of the filled choices for future reference.
- Accept and freeze the seat.
- Accept the option for potential upgradation to their higher choices.
- Take no action.

Step 5: Documents Requirement: Candidates must upload scanned copies of the original WBJEE Counselling documentation in PDF format with a resolution of 150 DPI and in colour. - If all documents are approved, the candidate will receive an SMS notification.

- If any relevant document is found illegible, the candidate will receive an SMS requesting them to re-upload the document within a specified timeframe, which the candidate must adhere to.

WBJEE Counselling 2024 Round 2
Candidates who selected upgradation in the first round will be considered for WBJEE 2024 seat allotment round 2. However, candidates allotted their first choice during WBJEE 2024 counselling Round 1 will not be eligible for an upgrade. Those who opt for upgradation and are prepared to accept admission based on the allotment must report to the Reporting Centre (RC) during the second round. In the second round of WBJEE seat allotment 2024, candidates will have the opportunity to change their upgrade status from "Yes" to "No," but not vice versa (from "No" to "Yes").7 Common Mistakes to Avoid While Preparing for WBJEE
WBJEE Mop-Up Round
The WBJEE mop-up round is optional. This round occurs after completing WBJEE counselling rounds 1 and 2. To participate in the mop-up round of WBJEE 2024, candidates must complete online registration. Newly registered candidates will also be required to submit a registration fee. Participation in the mop-up round is open to students holding a valid rank in either WBJEE 2024 or JEE Main 2024. All participants must submit their preferences for colleges and courses. The mop-up round allotment results will be published on the official website. Students meeting the following criteria are eligible to participate in the mop-up round:- Students who were allocated seats and paid the seat acceptance fees for either round 1 or 2 but did not complete admission.
- Students who were not allocated seats in rounds 1 or 2.
- Students who have not previously registered for WBJEE counselling 2024.
- All registered candidates except those voluntarily withdrew from and exited the e-counselling process.
WBJEE 2024 Reporting Centres
Upon accepting the seat and remitting the acceptance fee, students must present themselves at the designated WBJEE 2024 reporting centres according to the provided schedules. These reporting centres are the institutes assigned to the students during the counselling process.
