OSSSC CRE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

i. Revenue Inspector (RI)

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree examination in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized University.

  • Must have knowledge in computer application.

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2025):

  • Minimum: 20 years

  • Maximum: 42 years

ii. ICDS Supervisor

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce or its equivalent.

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2025):

  • Must be a woman

  • Minimum: 21 years

  • Maximum: 42 years

iii. Village Agricultural Worker (VAW)

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed +2 Science or +2 Vocational course in Agriculture-related subjects in:

    • Crop Production (CP)

    • Horticulture (HORT)

    • Repair and Maintenance of Power Driven Farm Machinery (PDFM)
      from a recognized Board/Council/Institution.

  • Candidates having a Diploma in Agriculture Polytechnic under Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology shall be desirable.

  • Candidates possessing such qualification shall be awarded 5% extra marks of the marks secured in the Written Test.

  • Minimum: 21 years

  • Maximum: 42 years

iv. Junior Assistant (JA)

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed +3 in Arts/Science/Commerce or equivalent from a recognized University.

  • Must have knowledge of Computer Skill.

  • Minimum: 21 years

  • Maximum: 42 years

v. Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI)

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) conducted by:

    • Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha

    • or equivalent Board

  • Or Diploma in Engineering from an Institution under State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training, Odisha / AICTE.

  • Must know computer application.

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2025):

  • Minimum: 20 years

  • Maximum: 42 years

vi. Amin

Educational Qualification:

  • Same as Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI).

vii. Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS)

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed 10+2 examination conducted by:

    • Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha

OSSSC CRE 2026 Selection Process

As per the latest OSSSC CRE Recruitment 2025–26 notification, the selection process varies by post and has been streamlined as follows:

1. Written Examination (CBRE Mode)

  • Objective-type MCQ examination

  • Tests general awareness and post-specific/domain knowledge

  • Marks obtained in the written exam are considered for preparation of the merit list

2. Skill Test / Practical Test

  • Applicable only for certain posts such as Junior Assistant

  • Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks

  • This is a qualifying test only and does not carry weightage in the final merit list
