The selection process for UPPSC RO ARO involves three distinct stages. Candidates must clear each stage to move forward.
Prelims: This is a qualifying exam with two papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2 combine for 200 marks from 200 questions.
Mains: Candidates who qualify in Prelims can appear for the Mains exam. It has three papers, covering both objective and subjective questions. This stage totals 420 marks, which form the basis of the final merit.
Skill/Typing Test: This test assesses typing proficiency in both English and Hindi. It is a qualifying test, and failure results in disqualification.
Note: There is no interview for this examination.
