

A total of 5,550 TET-qualified candidates have received appointment letters for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) teaching positions in Assam, marking another significant step toward strengthening the state’s education system. Out of the total appointees, 3,800 teachers have been placed in Lower Primary schools and 1,750 in Upper Primary schools. The recruitment was conducted through a transparent and merit-based process, ensuring fairness and credibility in the selection of candidates.
The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam, has completed the recruitment process for Assistant Teacher posts in both Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) schools. A total of 5,630 vacancies were announced.

Along with distributing appointment letters, the event introduced several digital learning initiatives to enhance classroom efficiency and accessibility. Around 8,799 tablets were provided to teachers under the Shikshak Samal Package, and 4,280 tablets were distributed to students under the Aarohan Scheme to support online learning and interactive education.
