AVS Assam Eligibility Criteria 2025
To be eligible, candidates must satisfy the nationality, age, and educational qualification requirements as prescribed by the Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, Assam.

Age Limit (as on January 1, 2025)
The minimum age is 21 years, and the maximum age is 45 years as on January 1, 2025. Age relaxations for OBC, SC/ST, and other reserved categories are applicable as per Government of Assam rules.

Educational Qualification

Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks in both Graduation and Post-Graduation, along with a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE recognized institution. Must be proficient in English medium teaching.

Graduate Teacher (GT): Graduation with Major/Honours in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks, along with a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE recognized institution. For Hindi GT, Pravin/Ratna in Hindi is also required.

Assistant Teacher: Graduation in Arts/Science with a minimum of 55% marks and a D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) from an NCTE recognized institution.

Laboratory Assistant: H.S. (Higher Secondary - Science) with a minimum of 55% marks.

AVS Assam Selection Process 2025
The selection process for the contractual posts under AVS Assam is primarily based on academic merit and performance in a Teaching Proficiency Test.
