AP Special TET 2026 Notification Out: The Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh has released the notification for the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special APTET) for in-service teachers. AP Special TET Exam Date 2026

AP Special TET exam will take place from October 11, 2026, to October 21, 2026. Tests will take place in two daily sessions. 

• Session 1 (Morning): 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM

• Session 2 (Afternoon): 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM

AP Special TET 2026 Application Fee

AP Special TET 2026 Application Fee should be paid when submitting the application form through the online mode. 

• Fee Amount: ₹1,000 for each paper (Paper-I or Paper-II).

• Dual Paper Fee: Candidates opting for both Paper-I and Paper-II must pay ₹1,000 separately for each paper (Total ₹2,000).

• Payment Mode: Online through the integrated Payment Gateway using Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.

Steps To Apply For AP Special TET Exam

Candidates can follow the steps to apply for the AP Special TET Exam 2026.

Step 1: Visit the official portal cse.ap.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the registration link and fill in basic details to obtain a Journal Number.

Step 3: Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.

Step 4: Log in using your credentials and complete the application form.

Step 5: Upload a scanned photograph with signature in JPEG format (maximum file size 50 KB).

Step 6: Review all entries carefully before submitting, as editing is not allowed after submission.

Step 7: Save and print a copy of the final application form for future reference.

AP Special TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

AP Special TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria are the minimum requirements that every candidate should meet to apply for the Special TET exam. 

Target Group & General Eligibility

• Only in-service teachers (Regular and appointed on Minimum Time Scale) are eligible.

• Eligible candidates must be working in:

• Government Schools

• Local Body Schools

• APREIS

• Government Welfare Societies Residential Schools

• AP Model Schools

• Private Aided Schools

• Schools run by other Government departments

• Candidates who were appointed before 2011 are eligible to appear to fulfil the mandatory TET qualification requirement.

Paper-I Eligibility (For Classes I to V)

• Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) and LFL Head Masters working in Government and Local Body Schools who hold both D.El.Ed (D.Ed) and B.Ed qualifications are permitted to appear for Paper-I.

• Candidates must have studied the opted Language-I as a medium of study, First Language (or equivalent) up to Class 10, Second Language in Intermediate, or as a main subject in Graduation along with methodology in D.El.Ed.

Paper-II Eligibility (For Classes VI to VIII)

• Teachers permitted for Paper-II include:

• School Assistants

• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)

• Language Pandits

• Head Masters of High Schools

• School Assistants who are currently working as Primary School Head Masters (PS HMs) must appear for Paper-II in their respective subject.

• Teachers of Classes I to V who intend to become teachers for Classes VI to VIII are eligible to write Paper-II, provided they possess the required subject-specific qualifications.

AP Special TET Syllabus 2026

Candidates should refer to the AP Special TET Syllabus 2026 to begin exam preparation. 

• Paper-I covers Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II (English), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies based on Class III to VIII State Textbooks (with linkages up to Class X).

• Child Development & Pedagogy is based on the D.El.Ed curriculum standards.

• Paper-II syllabus includes Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II (English), and subject-specific content (Mathematics & Science or Social Studies) based on Class VI to X topics.

AP Special TET Exam Pattern 2026

AP Special TET Exam Pattern 2026 includes the exam type, total questions, marks, subjects, and marking scheme. Candidates get 150 questions to solve in 2 hours 30 minutes. 

• Exam Type: Computer-Based Test (CBT) with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

• Papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2

• Total Questions: 150 questions per paper.

• Total Marks: 150 marks (1 mark per question).

• Exam Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.

• Negative Marking: There is no negative marking.

AP Special TET 2026 Admit Card

Candidates can download their AP Special TET 2026 Admit Card from the official website starting from October 5, 2026. The admit card displays the designated test centre, exam slot, and timing details. 

AP Special TET 2026 Answer Key

AP Special TET 2026 Answer Key will be released on October 24, 2026, on the official website. It will include the response sheet, answer key, and access to the raise-objection portal. 

• Initial Key Release: October 24, 2026.

• Objection Window: Candidates can submit objections online from October 25, 2026, to November 01, 2026.

• Final Key Release: November 10, 2026

AP Special TET 2026 Result 

AP Special TET 2026 Result will be published on November 15, 2026. Passing criteria marks are categorised as follows:

• General / EWS: 60% and above

• BC: 50% and above

• SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: 40% and above
