AP Special TET exam will take place from October 11, 2026, to October 21, 2026. Tests will take place in two daily sessions.

AP Special TET 2026 Application Fee should be paid when submitting the application form through the online mode.
Fee Amount: ₹1,000 for each paper (Paper-I or Paper-II).
Dual Paper Fee: Candidates opting for both Paper-I and Paper-II must pay ₹1,000 separately for each paper (Total ₹2,000).
Payment Mode: Online through the integrated Payment Gateway using Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.

Step 2: Click on the registration link and fill in basic details to obtain a Journal Number.
Step 3: Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.

Step 5: Upload a scanned photograph with signature in JPEG format (maximum file size 50 KB).

Only in-service teachers (Regular and appointed on Minimum Time Scale) are eligible.

Schools run by other Government departments
Candidates who were appointed before 2011 are eligible to appear to fulfil the mandatory TET qualification requirement.
Paper-I Eligibility (For Classes I to V)
Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) and LFL Head Masters working in Government and Local Body Schools who hold both D.El.Ed (D.Ed) and B.Ed qualifications are permitted to appear for Paper-I.
Candidates must have studied the opted Language-I as a medium of study, First Language (or equivalent) up to Class 10, Second Language in Intermediate, or as a main subject in Graduation along with methodology in D.El.Ed.
Paper-II Eligibility (For Classes VI to VIII)
Teachers permitted for Paper-II include:
School Assistants
Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)
Language Pandits
Head Masters of High Schools
School Assistants who are currently working as Primary School Head Masters (PS HMs) must appear for Paper-II in their respective subject.
Teachers of Classes I to V who intend to become teachers for Classes VI to VIII are eligible to write Paper-II, provided they possess the required subject-specific qualifications.
Candidates should refer to the AP Special TET Syllabus 2026 to begin exam preparation.
Paper-I covers Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II (English), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies based on Class III to VIII State Textbooks (with linkages up to Class X).
Child Development & Pedagogy is based on the D.El.Ed curriculum standards.
Paper-II syllabus includes Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II (English), and subject-specific content (Mathematics & Science or Social Studies) based on Class VI to X topics.
AP Special TET Exam Pattern 2026 includes the exam type, total questions, marks, subjects, and marking scheme. Candidates get 150 questions to solve in 2 hours 30 minutes.
Exam Type: Computer-Based Test (CBT) with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2
Total Questions: 150 questions per paper.
Total Marks: 150 marks (1 mark per question).
