Ayush Pandey UPTET 2026 Success Story: How PW Helped Him Score 146 Marks in Paper 2

Ayush Pandey entered UPTET preparation after already experiencing a teacher eligibility exam through CTET. That first exam gave him an understanding of where he was doing well and, more importantly, where he needed to improve. Instead of starting from scratch for UPTET, he used those observations to change the way he prepared.

Social Science became one of his biggest focus areas because he had struggled to cover its wide syllabus during CTET preparation. With PW classes, revision and practice batches, his own notes, and question practice, Ayush worked on this weakness before UPTET. The effort reflected in his result when he scored 146 marks in Paper 2 in his first attempt.

Ayush Wanted to Improve on His CTET Performance

Ayush already had a benchmark when he started preparing for UPTET. 

“UPTET ke Paper 2 mein mere 146 marks aaye. First attempt tha mera CTET mein actually 124 aaye the.”

His CTET score of 124 showed him what he could achieve, but it also gave him a reason to see how much further he could push his score.

“Mera target yahi tha ki agar main kuch aur zyada push kar sakun, wahi dekhna tha mujhe.”

Instead of viewing CTET and UPTET as completely separate preparations, Ayush carried forward what he had already studied. Topics such as CDP, Hindi, and English gave him a base for UPTET, allowing him to spend more attention on areas where he felt greater improvement was possible.

Social Science Was the Area Where Ayush Needed to Improve Most

Ayush found English relatively comfortable because he teaches the subject, while Hindi and CDP also became manageable after his CTET preparation. 

“Bas ek weakness thi meri CTET mein Social Science, kyunki bahut bada syllabus tha uska.”

Social Science, however, was different. Its large syllabus had been difficult for him to cover completely during CTET.

“UPTET basically ek chance tha mere liye ki agar main Social Science zyada achhe se prepare karun, toh aur kitne marks badh sakte hain mere.”

That realisation shaped a major part of his UPTET preparation. Rather than giving equal time to areas he was already comfortable with, he put more effort into Social Science. For Ayush, it was also a subject where stronger content knowledge could directly improve his score.

PW Revision and Practice Batches Became Important for His UPTET Preparation

Ayush had joined PW while preparing for CTET and initially studied mainly through recorded batches. Since he was also targeting other teaching examinations, he chose a Mahapack that allowed him to access preparation resources for different exams in one place.

“Lagbhag ek saal se upar ho gaya mujhe PW se padhte hue.”

For UPTET, the revision and practice classes became particularly useful. 

“UPTET mein sabse zyada mujhe jo fayda hua, woh last mein revision aur practice wale batches se hua.”

Ayush had missed some theory classes, so recorded lessons and revision batches gave him another way to cover important areas. He recalls that several points discussed during these classes directly helped him while attempting the paper.

Some PW Classroom Points Directly Helped Him Solve Questions

For Ayush, some classroom explanations became especially memorable because they directly helped him solve questions in the exam.

“Bahut saari lines thi, specially Social Science, Hindi ya CDP mein, jo exam mein as it is aayi hui thi.”

Certain classroom discussions stayed with him and helped him recognise answers during the actual examination.

“Mujhe yaad hai Yogendra Sir ne ek line boli thi class mein Social Science mein, aur wahan se do questions solve kiye the maine paper mein.”

For Ayush, moments like these made revision more useful because he was not simply rereading content. He was returning to concepts and important points that he could later connect with questions in the examination.

Making His Own Notes Helped Ayush Build Conceptual Clarity

Notes became a major part of Ayush’s preparation strategy. 

“Mujhe sabse zyada help mili jab maine khud se notes banaye.”

He preferred making them himself because the process of writing and arranging information helped him notice gaps and remember concepts more clearly.

“Notes banate samay kuch apni khud ki mistakes aapko nazar aa jaati hain aur kai concepts clear ya yaad ho jaate hain unko likhte-likhte.”

Ayush also focused on keeping his notes concise and properly organised. Instead of copying everything from a lecture PDF, he tried to group related points together, remove unnecessary repetition, and highlight information that could be useful during final revision.

Previous Year Questions Became Part of His Notes Too

Ayush did not keep question practice separate from his study material. 

“Kuch cheezein question solve karne par pata chalti hain, jaise previous year wale questions.”

When he encountered a previous year question that exposed a gap in his understanding or had confusing options, he added the relevant point to his notes.

“Jo questions mere galat hote the, unko main notes mein likh leta tha ki ye question aaya hua tha, ye wala sahi hai aur jo galat hai woh kyun galat hai.”

This allowed him to preserve the reasoning behind his mistakes instead of only remembering the correct option. His approach was to bring important concepts, confusing questions, and mistakes together so that he did not need to search through several resources during revision.

Ayush Worked on the Mistakes He Had Made During CTET

Ayush’s CTET experience taught him that preparation alone does not decide the final result. What happens inside the examination hall matters too. 

“CTET mein mujhse ek badi galat ho gayi thi, toh maine is baar bahut zyada dhyan diya tha.”

A mistake while filling the answer sheet had already shown him how easily marks could be affected.

“Agar ek baar mistake ho chuki hai, toh agle paper mein thoda zyada careful hona.”

During UPTET, he therefore paid closer attention to building his responses. He kept around half an hour for the process and checked each question while filling the answer sheet. Instead of ignoring an earlier mistake, he used it to change his exam-day approach.

Ayush Found Flexibility in PW Online Preparation Useful

Ayush could not always attend classes live, so recorded lessons became an important part of how he managed his preparation.

“Main recorded batches dekhta hoon zyadatar.”

He could return to a class when he had time and adjust the speed according to what he needed.

“Online ka ek bahut bada benefit mila mujhe ki main kabhi bhi, chahe kitni speed pe bhi, lecture dekh sakta hoon.”

He also used features such as audio mode when convenient. This flexibility allowed preparation to continue even when he could not follow a fixed live-class schedule, while PW’s different batches gave him material for the teaching examinations he was targeting.

Scoring 146 Marks Made the Result Special for Ayush and His Family

Ayush already had some idea of his performance before the official result because he had matched his responses with the PW answer key after the examination.

“Answer key se match kiya tha maine, toh 144 aa rahe the mere.”

The final score came close to what he had expected.

“Papa ne pehle poocha ki poore kitne marks ka tha? Maine kaha 150... phir unhone kaha, ‘Nahi, achha hai, zyada marks nahi kate hain.’”

That reaction was particularly meaningful to Ayush because, as he explained, praise from his father did not come very easily. Hearing that only a few marks had been lost made the achievement feel even more special after the work he had put into his preparation.

Ayush’s Advice Is to Prepare, Analyse Mistakes, and Make Your Own Notes

Ayush’s journey from 124 marks in CTET to 146 marks in UPTET Paper 2 shows how much you can gain by analysing your previous performance instead of simply beginning the next exam with the same approach. 

“Pehle jo mistakes hui hain, unpe dhyan dena.”

For him, Social Science needed greater attention, exam-day needed more care, and conceptual questions required better clarity.

“Notes se bahar kuch nahi aana chahiye, aisi philosophy rehti thi meri.”

His preparation with PW gave him access to recorded classes, revision and practice batches, and subject explanations, but Ayush also put considerable effort into making those resources work for him. He created his own concise notes, added mistakes from previous year questions, compared similar concepts, and spent time understanding unclear points. His 146 marks in UPTET Paper 2 ultimately reflected not one preparation trick, but the way he kept improving different parts of his approach.
