HTET Eligibility 2025: The Haryana Board of Secondary Education (HBSE) has released the detailed HTET Eligibility 2025 criteria in the official notification. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility requirements will be eligible to take the exam that is scheduled to be held on 26-27th July, 2025. HTET Age Limit 2025

The exact age limit for HTET 2025 is a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 38 years. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not older than 38 years to apply for the exam.

HTET Educational Qualification 2025

HTET 2025 educational qualifications vary by level. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed educational qualification listed below for different posts.

  • Level 1 (PRT): Class 12 with at least 50% marks and a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

  • Level 2 (TGT): Bachelor’s degree with D.El.Ed or B.Ed

  • Level 3 (PGT): Master’s degree with B.Ed.

Candidates must have passed the 12th standard examination with at least 45% marks and a two-year diploma in elementary education (D.El.Ed.) or a four-year bachelor’s degree in education (B.Ed.) from a recognised university.

  • Candidates should have a senior secondary (or equivalent) degree with at least 50% marks. Also, candidates should have passed or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education conferring with the NCTE.
  • OR, Aspirants must attain a degree from senior secondary (or equivalent degree) with at least 45% marks. Also, candidates must have qualified or are appearing in their 2nd-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • OR, Candidates must have a degree of senior secondary (or equivalent degree) with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates should have passed OR appeared in the 4th year of the final year of B.El.ED.
  • OR, Students should have a senior secondary degree (or equivalent degree) with a minimum of 50% marks. Also, candidates should have passed or appeared in the final year of 2nd year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • OR, Candidates should either have a qualified graduation degree or appear in the final year of a 2-year Diploma course in Elementary Education.                                                                                                                                                                         And
  • Candidates should have completed their class 10 with subjects including Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary/Hindi. Also, candidates should have completed Graduation/Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the many subjects.

  1. B.A./B.Com + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  2. OR, B.A./B.Com with a minimum of 50% marks + 2 years B.Ed.
  3. OR, B.A./B.Com with a minimum of 45% marks + 2 years B.Ed.
  4. OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks + 4 Years B. El. Ed
  5. OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks + 4-year BA/B.Com Ed
  6. B.A./B.Com with at least 50% marks + 2 years B.Ed. (Special Education)
  7. Candidates must have at least 50% marks in B.A./B.Com and should have studied English and one of the following subjects: History, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Sociology, or Psychology in all years of study.
TGT Science
  1. B.Sc + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  2. OR, B.Sc with a minimum of 50% marks + 2 years B.Ed.
  3. OR, B.Sc with at least 45% marks + 2 years B.Ed.
  4. OR, Minimum 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) + 4-year degree in B. El. Ed
  5. OR, Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks + 4-year B.Sc. Ed.
  6. OR, B.Sc. with at least 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
  7. In the case of B.Sc, Candidates must have studied a combination of at least three subjects: Physics, Zoology, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Botany.
TGT Mathematics
  1. A minimum of 50% marks in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com in Mathematics (as an elective subject) + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/B.Ed.
  2. OR, B.A./B.Sc./B.Com (minimum 45% marks) and 50% marks in Mathematics (as an elective subject) + 2-year B.Ed.
  3. OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks + 4-year B. El. Ed/ B.A./B.Sc/B.Com Ed. or B.A Ed./B.Sc. Ed./B.Com. Ed.
  4. OR, At least 50% marks in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com as well as in Maths (as elective subject) + 2-year B.Ed.
TGT English
  1. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in English (as compulsory/elective/Core/Honours) + English as a teaching subject in BTC/JBT/D.Ed/(B.Ed.)/B.Ed. (Special Education)
  2. OR, Minimum 50% marks in English in a 4-year B.El.Ed/Integrated BA.B.Ed.
  3. Candidates should have Sanskrit or Hindi as one of the subjects in their class 10 or higher education.
TGT Hindi
  1. B.A. (minimum 50% marks) in Hindi (as elective subject) + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/B.Ed.
  2. OR, At least 45% marks in B.A. and 50% marks in Hindi (elective subject) + 2 years in B.Ed.
  3. OR, Minimum 50% marks in senior secondary (equivalent degree) + 4 years B. El. Ed./ BA Ed.
  4. OR, B.A. with a minimum of 50% marks and Hindi as an elective subject + 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
  5. Candidates should have completed matric with Hindi/Sanskrit for class 12/BA/MA with Hindi.
TGT Sanskrit
  1. B.A. degree with a minimum of 50% marks in Sanskrit as an elective subject + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/B.Ed.
  2. OR, B.A. with a minimum of 45% marks and 50% marks in Sanskrit (elective subject) + 2-year B.Ed.
  3. OR, Minimum 50% marks in senior secondary (or equivalent degree) + 4 years B. El. Ed./ BA Ed.
  4. OR, B.A. (with a minimum of 50% marks) and Sanskrit as an elective subject + 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
  5. OR, Shastri (with a minimum of 50% marks) from a recognized university.
  6. Candidates should have qualified for the class 10 exam with Hindi/Sanskrit for class 12/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.
TGT Physical Education
  1. A graduation degree in Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) (or equivalent degree)
  2. Candidates should have passed class 10 with Hindi/Sanskrit or class 12/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.

HTET Eligibility 2025 for PGT

HTET PGT is the third level of the examination, designed for candidates aspiring to teach classes 9-12. The exam covers various subjects, each with specific educational qualification requirements. All candidates must meet certain fundamental eligibility criteria as mentioned below.

Level of Exam HTET PGT is the third level of the examination, intended for candidates who wish to teach students of classes 9 to 12.
Subjects Covered English, Hindi, Geography, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Punjabi, Urdu, and History.
Educational Qualification Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university. Additionally, they should possess a B.Ed. Degree from a recognized university.
Language Proficiency Candidates must have qualified their class 10 with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation/Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects, among others.

HTET Domicile 2025

Candidates who are permanent residents of Haryana or have completed their Class 10th and 12th in the state will be eligible for reservation benefits. Candidates who do not meet these domicile requirements will not be entitled to reserved category perks.

HTET Maximum Attempts 2025

There is no restriction on the number of attempts for the HTET 2025 exam. Candidates can appear for the HTET as many times as they wish until they qualify, provided they meet the eligibility criteria each time.

HTET Scribe 2025

There is no mention of HTET Scribe 2025 for candidates who are visually impaired or orthopaedically challenged. Candidates should wait for the release of the official notification to know the details about the scribe.
