The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) consists of two papers. Paper 1 is for candidates intending to teach Classes I to V, and Paper 2 is for those intending to teach Classes VI to VIII.

  • Nature of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

  • Marking Scheme: 1 Mark for every correct answer.

  • Negative Marking: There is NO negative marking for incorrect answers.

  • Language of Exam: Except for the language papers, the question paper will be bilingual (Odia and English).

Paper 1: Primary Level (Classes I to V)

The OTET Paper 1 exam is for the primary level of classes I to V. Candidates get 150 minutes to solve 150 questions of 150 marks in the exam. The questions are asked from Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environment Studies.
