Candidates can follow these steps to submit their preferences:
Visit the official Maharashtra teacher recruitment portal.
Open the candidate login section.
Log in using the required credentials.
Generate the preference list available on the dashboard.
Check the available teacher posts and management/school options.
Enter post-wise preferences according to your choice.
Carefully review the preference order.
Lock the preferences within the prescribed deadline.
Save or download the confirmation for future reference.
Candidates should avoid waiting until the last few hours to lock their preferences, as heavy traffic or technical issues may create problems near the deadline.
Candidates participating in the current Maharashtra Teacher Bharti process can access the recruitment portal through the designated TAIT 2025 recruitment website.
The portal is being used for activities related to candidate preferences and the ongoing teacher recruitment process. Candidates should use their existing credentials rather than creating another account if they are already registered in the recruitment system.
The Pavitra Portal preference submission and locking window is open from August 6 to August 11, 2026.
Candidates must ensure that their preferences are not only entered but also locked within the prescribed period. An incomplete or unlocked preference list could affect participation in the subsequent recruitment process.
Once candidates complete the preference process, the department will proceed with the next stage of recruitment.
For posts falling under the without-interview category, the merit list will be published after completion of the preference submission process. Candidates will be considered according to the applicable recruitment rules, vacancies, reservation provisions and their merit/preferences.
The department has also stated that candidates will receive necessary information through SMS wherever applicable.
The recruitment process is based on the candidate's performance in TAIT 2025, eligibility, available vacancies and the applicable recruitment rules.
The current recruitment covers both:
Posts filled without interview
Posts filled through interview
Candidates should carefully check the recruitment details associated with the post and management they select while submitting preferences.
The Pavitra Portal is the online system used by the Maharashtra government for teacher recruitment in schools managed by different local bodies and private managements.
The system brings several stages of the recruitment process onto a common platform, including candidate information, vacancy details, preferences and subsequent recruitment-related activities.
For the current recruitment cycle, candidates are being asked to submit their post-wise preferences through the portal.
Candidates should keep the following points in mind while completing the process:
The current process is linked to TAIT 2025.
Preference submission started on August 6, 2026.
The last date to submit and lock preferences is August 11, 2026.
A total of 30,209 teacher vacancies are part of the current recruitment.
Vacancies cover Classes 1 to 12.
Candidates should carefully arrange their post-wise preferences before locking them.
Once the preference list is locked, candidates should retain the confirmation for future reference.
The merit list for posts without interview will be released after the preference process.
Candidates who are eligible for the ongoing recruitment should not confuse the Pavitra Portal preference process with a fresh TAIT examination application.
The immediate task is to log in, check the available vacancies, prepare a suitable preference order and lock the preferences by August 11, 2026. Candidates should also keep their TAIT details and relevant documents ready for subsequent stages of recruitment.
The press note also invites candidates to submit their views, demands or concerns related to recruitment through the designated email address edupavitra25@gmail.com.
