REET Mains 2025 is a state-level eligibility test which is administered by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER) to recruit Primary (Classes 1-5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6-8) teachers in state-run schools. The exam is written and includes 150 multiple choice questions, which attract 300 marks, and has a time span of 2 hours 30 minutes with a negative mark of one-third per incorrect answer.

 It includes Rajasthan GK, General Knowledge, Subject Knowledge, Pedagogy, and IT. The choices involve document checking and a written exam. Its application period starts November 7 to December 6, 2025, and the exams take place January 17-21, 2026. The vacancies that have been announced at both levels are 7,749.

Eligibility Criteria for REET Mains 2025

REET Mains 2025 applicants should satisfy some age and educational requirements:

• Level 1 (Primary Teachers): He or she should have successfully passed Senior Secondary (Class 12 or equivalent) with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or successfully passed REET Level 1 exam previously.

• Level 2 (Upper Primary Teachers): 50 percent in Graduation and B.Ed or two-year Diploma in Elementary Education is needed.

• Age Requirement:18 years to 40 years as of January 1, 2026. Relaxations are allowed to the reserved categories according to the government norms.
