
The UPPSC has released the UP LT Grade Result 2026 for the preliminary exam on 5th February 2026. Candidates who appeared for Science, Sanskrit, Home Science, Commerce, English, and Biology can now check their results. The examination was conducted on multiple dates between December 2025 and January 2026. Aspirants can download the result PDF to view the cutoff marks, merit list, result date, and information about the next stage of the selection process.
The UP LT Grade exam was conducted in multiple phases during this period. Candidates who qualify in the prelims round will be eligible to appear for the mains examination. Results for the remaining subjects will be announced soon.
The recruitment process for the Assistant Teacher (Trained Graduate) positions followed the timeline below:
Notification Date: July 28, 2025.
Prelims Exam Date: December 6, 2025.
Mathematics: Conducted in the first session.
Hindi: Conducted in the second session.
Result Declaration Date: February 5, 2026 (Maths & Hindi). 24th Feb 2026 (Biology, English, Home Science, Sanskrit, Science)

The competition for both Mathematics and Hindi subjects was intense, with thousands of candidates appearing for a limited number of seats.
For the Mathematics subject, the commission noted that a total of 1,86,989 candidates were registered.
Total Candidates Appeared: 99,055.
Qualified for Mains: 2,260.
Vacancies: 556 posts for the Male branch and 537 posts for the Female branch.
Specialist Teacher Posts: Includes 7 posts for Visual Impairment, 5 for Hearing Impairment, and 2 for Physical Disability.
The Hindi subject saw a high number of registrations, with 1,29,511 candidates signing up for the exam.
Total Candidates Appeared: 82,007.
Qualified for Mains: 8,162.
Vacancies: 568 posts for the Male branch and 119 posts for the Female branch.
Specialist Teacher Posts: Includes 2 posts for Hearing Impairment and 1 for Physical Disability.
Note: The Commission mentioned that for certain categories, the targeted 15-fold qualification ratio for the Mains exam could not be met because many candidates failed to achieve the minimum efficiency standard marks.
Individual Marks: Information regarding individual candidate marks and subject-wise cut-offs will only be released on the website after the declaration of the final selection results.
RTI Inquiries: The Commission will not entertain any applications under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, regarding marks or cut-offs at this stage.
Out-of-State Female Candidates: The result for female candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh is subject to the final decision of the Hon'ble High Court in Special Appeal No. 475 (510)/2019.
Qualified candidates (2,260 for Maths and 8,162 for Hindi) must now prepare for the Mains Examination.
