Introduction to anatomy and physiology; organs, tissues and cells; muscular system; skeletal system; joints; respiratory system; digestive system; circulatory system; heart and blood circulation; endocrine glands and hormones; excretory system; kidneys and skin.

Unit 5: Mechanical Basis of Human Movement, Biomechanics and Training Methods

Human body organization; body planes and movements; force, friction, mass and weight; biomechanics and sports performance; axes and centre of gravity; muscular contractions; Newton's Laws of Motion; acceleration, velocity and balance; lever system; projectile motion; overload principle; strength, endurance and speed training methods; isometric and isotonic exercises; continuous, interval and fartlek training; warm-up and cool-down principles.

Unit 6: Organisation and Administration in Physical Education
