UPTET Result 2026 (OUT): The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced the UPTET Result 2026 on 26 August 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test can now check their results online through the official UPESSC website.

The result has been released for both UPTET Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates need their roll number and date of birth to access the result and download their scorecard.

According to the commission, a total of 7,13,648 candidates appeared for the Primary Level examination, out of which 5,71,435 candidates qualified. At the Upper Primary Level, 10,57,021 candidates appeared, and 7,59,513 candidates were declared successful.

The UPTET 2026 written examination was conducted on 2, 3 and 4 July 2026 in multiple shifts across Uttar Pradesh. The examination was held at 955 centres in 60 districts.

Since a large number of candidates appeared for the examination, the test was conducted in five shifts over three days. The commission has now completed the evaluation process and announced the results.

Candidates who appeared for UPTET Paper 1 or Paper 2 can check their qualifying status online. The result can be accessed using the roll number and date of birth mentioned in the examination records.

UPTET Result 2026 Statistics

The commission has released the result statistics along with the declaration of the UPTET 2026 result.

For the Primary Level examination, 7,13,648 candidates appeared. Of these, 5,71,435 candidates qualified, recording a qualifying percentage of 80.07%.

For the Upper Primary Level examination, 10,57,021 candidates appeared, while 7,59,513 candidates qualified. The qualifying percentage for this level stands at 71.85%.

The commission has also shared the performance of candidates who are already working as teachers.

UPTET Result 2026 for Working Teachers

The result notice also provides separate statistics for teachers who were already working at the time of the examination.

At the Primary Level, 1,22,405 working teachers appeared for the examination. Out of them, 93,387 teachers qualified, which is 76.29%.

At the Upper Primary Level, 1,46,394 working teachers appeared. A total of 1,13,384 teachers qualified, taking the qualifying percentage to 77.45%.

How to Check UPTET Result 2026 Online

Candidates can follow the steps below to access their UPTET 2026 result and download the scorecard:

1. Visit the official UPESSC website.

2. Open the link for UPTET Result 2026 available on the homepage.

3. Enter your roll number and date of birth in the required fields.

4. Submit the details to view your result.

5. Check your qualifying status and marks carefully.

6. Download the UPTET scorecard and keep a printout for future reference.

Candidates should make sure that the details entered on the result login page match those mentioned on their admit card. If the roll number is not readily available, candidates can check their UPTET admit card.

UPTET Qualifying Marks 2026

Candidates need to meet the prescribed qualifying criteria to clear the UPTET examination. For the General category, the qualifying requirement is 60% marks, while candidates belonging to reserved categories are required to secure 55% marks.

As the UPTET examination carries 150 marks, the General category qualifying benchmark is 90 marks. For reserved categories, the qualifying requirement is based on the applicable 55% criterion.

The qualifying marks are different from the marks required for appointment. Clearing UPTET makes a candidate eligible for consideration for teaching opportunities where TET qualification is required, subject to the recruitment rules applicable to the post.

What After UPTET Result 2026?

After the UPTET result is declared, qualified candidates should download and safely preserve their scorecard or certificate details. The TET qualification is used as an eligibility requirement for teaching recruitment in accordance with the applicable rules.

Candidates should also keep checking recruitment notifications issued by the concerned authorities. Qualifying UPTET does not itself guarantee a teaching job, as candidates have to meet the eligibility conditions and selection criteria prescribed for the respective recruitment.

UPTET Certificate Validity

The Teacher Eligibility Test certificate is generally recognised with lifetime validity, subject to the applicable rules and guidelines. Candidates who qualify UPTET can therefore use their TET qualification for relevant teaching recruitment opportunities without having to repeatedly qualify the examination solely because of expiry of the certificate.
