The exam will take place on September 29, 2026 (Tuesday). The test timings are:

• UTET I: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM

UTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

UTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria has been notified in the official notification. Candidates need to meet the minimum educational requirements to apply online. 

• For UTET I (Primary Teachers): Candidates must have passed the 12th standard exam with the minimum required marks and hold a diploma in elementary education (D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed).

• For UTET II (Upper Primary Teachers): Candidates must have a graduation degree along with a professional teaching degree or diploma like B.Ed or D.El.Ed.

UTET 2026 Exam Pattern 

UTET 2026 Exam Pattern has been designed for the candidates to test their abilities applying for the teaching entrance test. 

• The exam is conducted offline using pen and paper. 

• It has 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each.

• Exam Duration: 2.5 hours for each paper. 

• There is no negative marking. 

UTET Minimum Qualifying Marks 2026

• General category candidates must score at least 60% marks. 

• Reserved category candidates such as SC, ST, and OBC receive relaxation and require lower passing marks.
