Assam SLET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Assam SLET 2026 examination, candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements. These include nationality, age limit, and educational qualifications, which are mandatory for all applicants.

Candidates must be citizens of India.
Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for the Assam SLET Exam 2026. There is also no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can make.
Educational Qualification

- General/UR/EWS candidates require a minimum of 55% marks in PG. OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PWD/Third Gender candidates need 50% in PG.
- Final-year PG students can apply provisionally, provided they secure required marks within two years of result declaration.
The subject chosen for SLET must be the PG subject studied. A 5% mark relaxation applies to PhD holders who completed PG by 19 September 1991. Transgender candidates receive relaxations equivalent to SC/ST/PWD categories. Valid category certificates are mandatory for respective applicants.
