• Master’s Degree Route: A Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks is required. A 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/DA candidates. The degree must be from an institution recognised by the appropriate authorities. For those entering after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's program, a minimum of 75% marks is necessary, with applicable 5% relaxation.

• M.Phil. Degree Holders: Candidates holding an M.Phil. degree must have a minimum of 55% marks, again with a 5% relaxation for reserved categories. This degree must also be from a recognised/accredited institution.

VRET-Exempted Category:

• This category includes regular, temporary, or ad-hoc employees of GGU or other institutions, provided they furnish a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC).

• International applicants possessing equivalent qualifications are also eligible.

• Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET/JRF/CSIR-NET/GATE/CEED, or those eligible under UGC fellowship categories (Category I, II, III) as per the latest UGC notifications, fall under this exemption.
