Rajasthan SET 2026 Application Fee varies according to the category and state status of the candidate. The fees must be paid through online modes during form submission. Candidates from the Third Gender category receive the same fee relaxation as SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
General / SBC / OBC (Creamy Layer) of Rajasthan and all Out of State candidates: Rs. 1500/-
EWS / SBC / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) of Rajasthan State: Rs. 1200/-

Candidates need to fulfil clear educational conditions to be eligible for this state test:
General/Unreserved/EWS: Must have a Master's Degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (without rounding off) from a UGC-recognised institution.
OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: Must have at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in their Master's Degree.
Appearing Candidates: Candidates in their final year of a Master's program, those waiting for results, or those whose exams are delayed, can apply provisionally. They must complete the degree with the required percentage within two years from the date the SET result is declared.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for this exam.

There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
No points are given or deducted for unattempted questions.
If a question is found wrong or unclear and is completely dropped, 2 marks will be given to everyone who appeared in the test.
The paper medium is English and Hindi. Specific language papers will only be in their respective languages. If there is a translation error, the English version of the question is treated as final.
To clear the exam, candidates must secure minimum scores that align with UGC National Eligibility Test policies.
For the General and EWS categories, the combined score across both papers must be a minimum of 40%.
Reserved category candidates (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD, and Third Gender) must secure an aggregate score of at least 35% across both papers.
The top 6% of appearing candidates who achieve these minimum marks will be declared qualified for Assistant Professor slots based on the state merit list.
