The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important public notice regarding the UGC NET June 2026 examination conducted on 22 June 2026. According to the notice, technical issues were reported at the CT Group of Institutions Examination Centre, Jalandhar, affecting some candidates who appeared in Shift 1.

Candidates who were present at the centre but could not take or complete the examination due to these technical problems will be given another opportunity. The re-examination has been scheduled for 5 July 2026 (Sunday) at 3:00 PM at the same examination centre.

Why Has NTA Announced a Re-Examination?

TCS, the agency responsible for conducting the UGC NET June 2026 examination, informed NTA about technical issues experienced at the CT Group of Institutions centre in Jalandhar during the examination held on 22 June 2026.

As a result, some candidates in Shift 1 were unable to appear for or complete their examination despite being present at the centre. Recognizing that the disruption was beyond the candidates' control, NTA has decided to conduct a re-examination.

In its public notice dated 22 June 2026, the National Testing Agency expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to candidates due to the technical difficulties and assured that affected candidates would be provided a fair opportunity through the re-examination.

Who Is Eligible for the Re-Exam?

The re-examination is only for the following:

  • Candidates who were allotted the CT Group of Institutions Examination Centre, Jalandhar.

  • Candidates who appeared for Shift 1 on 22 June 2026.

  • Those who could not take or complete the exam because of technical issues at the centre.
