WB SET Cut Offs fluctuate every year, therefore the cut-off mark is never the same. The following are the main factors that can affect the cut-off score:
Number of Students: When more students take the exam, there is more competition and a tendency for the cutoff to rise.
Exam/Test Difficulty Level: Students can get lower scores if the question paper is extremely difficult, which would reduce the cut-off marks. The cut-off score will probably increase if the paper is simple.
Number of Vacancies: The scores are affected by the total number of slots (6% of the applicants that appeared).
Previous/Last Year Cut Off Trends: The exam body often uses past results as a starting point.
