National Games 2025 is scheduled to be held from January 28 to February 14 with triathlon events starting two days earlier on January 26. Organized by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), the National Games provide a platform for athletes from all states to showcase their talents.  India's National Games are Olympic-style multi-sport events that bring together athletes from various states and Union Territories to compete across multiple disciplines. The National Games of India began in 1924 in the undivided Lahore inspired by the spirit of the 1920s Olympic movement. Initially held irregularly, the Games became more regular after 1940. Lucknow hosted the first National Games after independence, while the first National Games modeled after the Olympics were held in 1985 in New Delhi
