Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS) is a part of the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) and provides financial support to citizens aged 60 years or above who live below the poverty line. Beneficiaries receive a monthly pension of ₹200 up to 79 years and ₹500 for those 80 years or older.

Launched on 15th August 1995, NSAP is a fully funded central scheme aimed at helping destitute individuals with little or no income.
