The UPSC EPFO Exam Centre 2026 list includes 84 centres for the Recruitment Test (RT) for the post of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) in the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The centres are spread across different cities in India. Candidates can select their preferred centre while submitting the online application.

The allotment of centres will be done on a “first-apply-first allot” basis. However, there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates at each centre, except Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur. Once the capacity of a centre is reached, it will be frozen. Candidates who cannot get their preferred centre will have to choose another centre from the available options.

The Commission may change the centre or the date of the Recruitment Test if required. Any such change will be notified through the Commission’s website before the Recruitment Test.

Important Instructions for UPSC EPFO Exam Centre 2026

Candidates should keep the following centre allotment rules in mind before submitting the application:

  • Centre allotment: The Commission will allot centres on a “first-apply-first allot” basis.

  • Centre capacity: There will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each centre, except Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur.

  • Centre freezing: Once the capacity of a particular centre is reached, that centre will be frozen.

  • Alternative centre: Candidates who cannot get their preferred centre due to the capacity limit will have to choose a centre from the remaining options.

  • Early application: Candidates are advised to apply early if they want to get a particular centre.

  • Change of centre: No request for a change of centre will be entertained.

  • Change by Commission: The Commission reserves the right to change the centre or the date of the Recruitment Test if required. Any such change will be notified through the Commission’s website before the Recruitment Test.

  • PwBD candidates: All Recruitment Test centres for the APFC post in EPFO will cater to Persons with Benchmark Disability at their respective centres.

  • Test details: Candidates admitted to the Recruitment Test will be informed about the timetable and the place or places of the test.

UPSC EPFO Documents and Other Instructions

Candidates should follow the document and conduct-related instructions issued by the Commission. The key points are given below:

  • Documents for interview: Shortlisted candidates will have to submit documents supporting the information and claims made in their online applications.

  • Document scrutiny: The Commission will scrutinise the submitted documents before calling candidates for the interview.

  • Documents at interview: Candidates must produce the printout of their online application along with the original documents and certificates mentioned in the application.

  • Self-attested copies: Candidates must also provide self-attested copies and any other documents specified in the interview summons letter.

  • Failure to produce documents: Candidates who fail to present the required documents will be disqualified from appearing in the interview. They will also not be eligible for reimbursement of travelling expenses by the Commission.

  • Correct information: Candidates must provide accurate information in the online application. If any information or claim is found to be false at a later stage, the candidature may be rejected.

  • Action for misconduct: Candidates involved in misconduct may face disqualification or debarment, as applicable. This includes:

    • Impersonation

    • Submitting fabricated or tampered documents

    • Suppressing material information

    • Using unfair means during the Recruitment Test

    • Bringing prohibited communication devices into the examination hall or interview room
