UPSC Mains Law Optional Question Paper 2026

The UPSC Mains Law Optional Question Paper 2026 is scheduled for 30 August 2026. If you have chosen Law as your optional subject, you will have two papers on the same day.

Law Paper I is scheduled for the forenoon session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Law Paper II is scheduled for the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. You will get three hours for each paper.

Each Law optional paper carries 250 marks. Therefore, both papers together account for 500 marks in the UPSC Civil Services Main Examination.
