  1. The Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme 2025 guarantees 125 days of wage employment per financial year to every eligible rural household willing to undertake unskilled manual work.

  2. The MGNREGA Replacement Act 2025 repeals Mahatma Gandhi NREGA from 1 July 2026 while ensuring a seamless transition of ongoing projects and workers.

  3. Existing MGNREGA job cards remain valid temporarily until issuance of the new Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Card. Registration is done through Gram Panchayats.

  4. Employment must be provided within 15 days from the date of application15 days from the date of application. Failing this, workers become eligible for unemployment allowance.

  5. State Governments must pay at least 25% of wage rate for the first 30 days and at least 50% of wage rate thereafter.

  6. The Act introduces face-authentication attendance systems, geo-tagging of works, GPS-based monitoring, AI-based fraud detection, real-time dashboards, and weekly public disclosure systems. 

  7. The Act prohibits contractors in work execution and labour-displacing heavy machinery. This protects employment-intensive public works.

  8. The VB-G RAM G Bill 2025 permits work under four major categories: Water Security Works, Core Rural Infrastructure, Livelihood-related Infrastructure, and Extreme Weather Mitigation Works.
