NSAT 2025: NSAT 2025 syllabus is NCERT-based and varies according to the student's class level and chosen track (JEE/NEET). For classes 5 -10, the syllabus is Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Mental Ability. For class 11 and class 12, the syllabus is divided: JEE students are questioned in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and NEET students are questioned in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. The test is 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that must be solved in 60 minutes. One mark is awarded for each correct answer, and normally, there is no negative marking. The test is online and offline-based.

NSAT Syllabus 2025 

The PWNSAT syllabus is framed in a manner to check students' knowledge in major subjects based on their current class and career aspirations (medical or engineering). For class 5 to class 10, the syllabus consists of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Mental Ability, and syllabi are according to the NCERT textbook for every class.

For class 11 and class 12, the syllabus is split into medical and engineering streams, and corresponding subjects are: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology for medical students, and Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for engineering students. This combined strategy makes the students answer questions on fundamentals as well as competitive exam preparation.

NSAT 2025 Exam Pattern

PWNSAT Exam Pattern is designed to screen class 6 to 12 students and droppers who want to attempt JEE or NEET scholarships in a fair and efficient manner. The exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be answered within 60 minutes. The questions are from the NCERT syllabus and the subjects vary based on the current class and stream of the student: for classes 5 to 10, the exam examines Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Mental Ability; for classes 11 and 12, JEE students are examined in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and NEET students are examined in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.

The exam is conducted online and offline and for free. Each question typically carries the same marks, and typically there is no negative marking. This pattern offers a standardised, accessible test to all the eligible students.

PWNSAT Marking Scheme

PWNSAT Marking Scheme PWNSAT 2025 marking scheme offers 4 marks for each correct answer out of a total of 40 questions given in the form of multiple-choice type questions, and the exam is for a total of 160 marks. There is no negative marking for the wrong answer, and the candidates are also not charged for incorrect attempts.

The exam is given for 60 minutes, and questions are asked from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Mental Ability depending on the class and stream of the candidate. The marking scheme offers encouragement to the candidates to attempt all questions without penalty and secure as many marks as possible and stand a good chance of getting scholarships and rewards through PWNSAT.

What Phase 2 Means for Students: Who Should Register Now?

  • If you missed Phase 1, this is a second chance — register for Phase 2 before the deadline.

  • If you appeared in Phase 1 but are aiming for a better scholarship or rank, Phase 2 offers an opportunity to improve your score.

  • Since more students across India will take Phase 2, competition will be higher — it’s advisable to treat Phase 2 as a fresh chance and prepare thoroughly.

How to register for Phase 2?

Registration for Phase 2 opened on October 27, 2025 — free of cost. Visit the official PW NSAT registration page, choose mode (online/offline), pick a date in the given exam window, and complete the form.

When will NSAT 2025 results and cut-offs be declared?

Final results and cut-offs will be declared after completion of Phase 2 (i.e. after December 15, 2025), once all candidate data is compiled and evaluated.

Does syllabus or exam pattern change for Phase 2?
