PW Students Sanchit Patel to Represent India at IJSO 2026 – From NSEJS to Global Stage, His Inspiring Journey: When a student from a small town makes it to the world stage, it becomes more than a result — it becomes a reminder that talent, discipline, and belief can change everything. Sanchit Patel, a Class 10 student from Bettiah, West Champaran, Bihar, has earned a place among the top 6 students in India for the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2026.
This is a huge moment for Physics Wallah, for Bihar, and for every young student who dreams big. With nearly 97 countries competing at the international level, Sanchit’s selection is not just an achievement , it is a statement.
Getting selected for Team India is one of the toughest journeys a science student can take. Every stage filters out some of the brightest minds in the country.
Sanchit’s path to the Indian team was built through one of the toughest science olympiad funnels in the country:
NSEJS: He first cleared the National Standard Examination in Junior Science, where thousands of students compete and only around 300–350 move ahead.
INJSO: Next, he cleared the Indian National Junior Science Olympiad, where roughly 300 students appear and only about 35 qualify for the final camp.
OCSC: At the Orientation-Cum-Selection Camp at IISc, he performed at the very top.
IJSO 2026: From there, he earned his place in the final 6-member Indian team that will represent the country internationally.
This journey shows what elite preparation really looks like. Every stage filters out thousands, and every stage demands deeper understanding, sharper thinking, and stronger consistency.
Our student Sanchit Patel (Class 10 | PW Olympiad Wallah) has successfully qualified for the Junior Science Orientation-Cum-Selection Camp (OCSC) 2026, conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), TIFR, under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. Prior to this achievement, he successfully cleared the National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS) and the Indian National Junior Science Olympiad (INJSO), progressing through the highly competitive stages of India's official Science Olympiad program.
Sanchit's journey with Olympiad Wallah began through the NSEJS Training Camp 2024. He subsequently enrolled in the full-year NSEJS 2025 batch, where he diligently attended live classes, regularly attempted tests, and consistently engaged with the learning resources provided. After qualifying NSEJS, he joined the Qualifiers Batch to strengthen his preparation for INJSO and further enhance his conceptual understanding.
To prepare for the advanced stages of the Olympiad process, Sanchit also participated in Olympiad Wallah's offline training camps, which helped him gain valuable practical exposure, hands-on learning experience, and the skills required for the Orientation-Cum-Selection Camp (OCSC).
At the OCSC Junior Science 2026, held at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, from May 14–25, 2026, Sanchit distinguished himself among 35 of India's brightest young science students and secured a place among the Top 6 students in the country.
With this remarkable accomplishment, Sanchit has earned the prestigious opportunity to represent India at the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2026 in Bulgaria, Europe, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey and bringing immense pride to the entire PW community.
This exceptional achievement reflects Sanchit's unwavering dedication, discipline, consistency, and passion for science. His success is a testament to his strong conceptual understanding, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. It also highlights the impact of a structured preparation journey—combining live classes, regular testing, mentorship, advanced qualifier programs, and practical training camps.
That is real grit. That is the difference between ordinary effort and extraordinary results.
Sanchit’s success is not only about one Olympiad. It proves something much bigger: Olympiad preparation builds an AIR-1 mindset.
Students who prepare for science olympiads develop:
Strong conceptual clarity.
Better problem-solving speed.
Deeper exam confidence.
A habit of thinking beyond memorization.
A strong base for future exams like JEE and NEET.
For students in Classes 8 to 11, this is a major advantage. When your fundamentals are strong, every future exam becomes easier to face. Olympiad prep trains the brain to solve, analyze, and perform under pressure.
Sanchit’s connection with Physics Wallah began with the recorded videos on the Olympiad Wallah YouTube channel. Over time, he moved to PW’s full-year paid batches and strengthened his preparation with structured learning, guided practice, and consistent support.
His journey is proof that the right resources, when combined with discipline, can create remarkable outcomes. It also reflects what PW stands for — helping students from every corner of India rise to their full potential.
To celebrate this achievement and help more students follow the same path, Physics Wallah is launching the brand-new NSECJS + HSCS Batch for just ₹2499.
This batch is designed for students preparing for the upcoming attempt and includes:
Recorded lectures for flexible learning.
Live practice sessions for concept strengthening.
Weekly live doubt-solving for continuous support.
A focused, exam-oriented structure to help students prepare with confidence.
For students who want a serious head start in Olympiad preparation, this batch can be the right gateway.
Sanchit Patel’s journey reminds every student that greatness does not begin with a big city or a big stage. It begins with discipline, consistency, and the courage to keep going even when things get tough. From Bettiah to IJSO 2026, his story is a proud example of what is possible when hard work meets the right guidance.
For every student watching this journey, the message is simple: start early, stay consistent, and trust the process. The global stage is waiting.
